As part of Tim Reid's Legacy Media Institute programme, Nadia Denton former director of Black Filmmakers (BFM) International Film Festival introduces her book, The Black British Filmmaker’s Guide to Success- a guide which outlines funding, marketing and distribution opportunities for filmmakers, at the British Film Institute (BFI) on Saturday 17th March.
Written as a guide for black British filmmakers, it also bears relevance to the wider international community of black filmmakers and filmmakers of other backgrounds making black content, or other cultural specific work.
Nadia will be joined by the following guests Emily Kyriakides (Programme Producer, Lighthouse / BFI Shorts 2012), Marie Berry (Director, Film Industry Commerce Association ), Nosa Nedion (Director, Precise Pictures and Legacy Media Institute Fellow) and Tim Reid (Actor/Director/Producer/Founder, Legacy Media Institute) for a panel discussion, after which there will be a Q&A which I will be hosting and facilitating.
This event is perfect for anyone interested in funding, tapping into existing support / training, completing training, exhibition, distribution and more. So come and enjoy an interactive Saturday morning which will leave you knowing you are more than capable for success.
I look forward to seeing those who can make it.
