SOTW- Pretty Whimsical

This weeks shop of the week is Pretty Whimsical, run and owned by Stacey. Stacey makes one of my favorite items on etsy,

Stacy's favorite artist "has always been Claude Monet. I love his use of nature, and color. The two paintings I most admire are "Woman with a Parasol" and "Waterlilies"."

One of my two favorite questions to ask our team members is If you had to live anywhere else EXCEPT where you are (cost, no object :), where would it be and why? "I am a country girl at heart...I have always wanted to own a farm, raise cattle and have a huge garden."

The second one is if you had $1M and HAD to give away every penny, to whom would you give it and why?

"I have two children with Juvenile Diabetes (Type 1) and would gladly give 1M if it would help find a cure for this terrible disease. "

Export Kontak Teman dari Facebook ke Gmail

Facebook menjadi penghubung yang cukup powerful. Karena facebook, hampir seluruh teman di dunia nyata terhubung di dunia maya. Bisa dipastikan pada sebagian besar orang, jumlah teman di facebook lebih banyak dan lengkap daripada jumlah kontak di ponsel maupun account email seperti Gmail. Untuk trik kali ini, hanya untuk anda yang memiliki browser Google Chrome.

1.     Buka Google Chrome anda kemudian klik icon Web Store. Bila tidak ada, anda bisa mengaksesnya di https://chrome.google.com/webstore?hl=en-US/. Setelah itum pada kolom Search, ketikkan “Facebook Friends Exporter”. (tanpa petik)

2.     Klik icon Facebok friends exporter.

3.     Klik tombol Install berwarna biru dibagian kanan bawah.

4.     Buka halaman Facebook anda dan login seperti biasa. Pada bagian atas akan muncul sebuah link baru dengan tulisan Export Friends. Klik menu tersebut.

5.     Sebuah tab baru akan terbukan, kemudian klik Let’s get started!.

6.     Tergantung dari kecepatan koneksi internet anda, extension akan melakukan fetch keseluruhan friends anda. Semakin banyak teman akan semakin lama pula untuk meng-export friends anda. Setelah proses selesai, klik tombol Let’s Start!.

7.     Setelah itu, anda bisa memilih untuk menjadi file CSV ataupun langsung ke account Google anda. Pada account Google anda akan muncul group contact baru bernama Imported from Facebook.

Update Status Facebook dengan Simbol-simbol Aneh

Pengguna Blackberry atau device lainnya mungkin telah memiliki aplikasi yang memungkinkan untuk update status dengan simbol-simbol tertentu. Sementara itu, pengguna komputer harus menghafalkan kodenya. Namun, sekarang hal itu tidak perlu dilakukan karena pengguna komputer bisa memanfaatkan website sederhana ini.

1.     Buka website Facebook Symbol. Website ini menampilkan berbagai simbol yang bisa dicopy-paste ke field update status facebook.

2.     Daouble klik simbol yang akan dipakai kemudian tekan Ctrl+C untuk meng-copy. Setelah itu, pada status di facebook cukup tekan Ctrl+V untuk mem-paste.

3.     Bila anda merasa senang dengan layanan ini, anda bisa mem-bookmark website tersebut dengan men-drag link kebagian pojok kanan atas ke bookmark anda. Dengan demikian, anda akan mudah untuk mengaksesnya.

THE WOSCARS

Last night I attended The WOSCARS, an awards ceremony aimed to highlight and celebrate the hard work of media and film students at Woking College in Woking.

The WOSCARS began  three years ago and the standard of the event and quality of work have risen each year. This black tie event was definitely the place to be last night! The hosts Jack Reynolds and Sam Johnson did a fabulous job to such an extent that Ant and Dec need to be scared, brilliant future duo presenters if they choose to take that path!

I was truly honoured to present awards to students alongside successful actor Nonso Anozie, who definitely added a touch of Hollywood to the event! His past works include Atonement, I am Slave (BAFTA 2011 Nominee) and Conan the Barbarian due for UK release in August 2011, so look out for it!

Me being me I couldn’t just read the card, I had to throw in a few "jokes". Thank you to everyone who laughed, my head told my mouth not to do it, clearly my mouth had other ideas :-)

Once again thank you all for a fantastic evening. Good luck to all the talented students and Hi 5 to the teachers that clearly work hard to embrace, nurture and push talent!

In the beautiful shop RhodesAnnalsDesign, Claire sells beautiful gifts (crocheted, knits, bags, bunting, and lip balm). She has many great products that are usually bought for others as a special gift or a "treat" for themselves.

Now I know there are sooooooooo many places on etsy that sells knits and crocheted products. BUT THEY ARE NOT CLAIRE'S. Claire's products are made with love for the craft. You can see this in her pictures. She pays close attention to details to make every item extra special.

We all have a story on who the most influential person is in teaching our craft. Heres Claire's story: "Both of my grandma’s taught me to knit, my mum taught me to crochet and to sew, my aunt (who is only 10 years older than me) taught me to embroider and cross stitch, my grandma’s neighbor taught me how to make lace and I have a collection of wooden bobbins. I think it is very important to ‘pass it on’ and I've been teaching the children in my son’s class how to knit. "

It is also known that our environment or location can influence our work, creativity and inventory in our stores

"I, Claire, started my Etsy shop after moving close to where I was born (after living in Scotland, the South East of England, Wales and then back to the South East) which is very close to Sherwood Forest. Unfortunately it’s not quite what you see in the films but the local woodland and countryside is very soothing and I feel a lot more grounded here. I think my cowls have a lot to do with my childhood fantasies of being Maid Marion."

11 Tools Online Pembuat Sitemap (15)

Bila ada dari teman-teman yang mungkin sedang bingung dan gelisah untuk membuat sitemap agar mudah di-indeks Google?? Tidak perlu repot-repot untuk berpikir, sekarang sudah maju untuk teknologi apalagi membuat sitemap. Ini ada 11 tool yang bisa kalian coba untuk membuat sitemap dan men-submitnya ke Google.

1.     Sitemaps.org – merupakan informasi tentang protocol sitemap, standar bersama yang digunakan oleh search engine yang memungkinkan para webmaster menginformasikan ke search engine tentang halaman situsnya yang bisa di crawl.

2.     Ask.com – webmaster FAQ yang menampilkan dokumen informasi sitemap dan webmaster di Ask.com. Walaupun tidak berkaitan dengan Google namun hubungannya erat karena protokolnya sama dengan Google.

3.     Automapit – merupakan generator sitemap online yang bisa digunakan untuk membuat sitemap sampai 500 halaman dengan gratis.

4.     GSiteCrawler – merupakan generator sitemap untuk Windows.

5.     Sitemap Gen – merupakan software open source untuk membuat sitemap XML yang dibuat menggunakan Phyton.

6.     Sitemap Generator – merupakan tool online untuk membuat sitemap Google secara gratis dan online.

7.     Sitemap Writer – merupakan software komersil untuk pembuatan sitemap.

8.     SitemapDoc – merupakan tool untuk membuat dan mengedit XML, HTML dan sitemap secara online.

9.     SitemapsPal – merupakan tool generator sitemap XML secara online.

10.   WWW::Google::Sitemap – merupakan modul Perl untuk membuat dan mengatur sitemap Google.

Membuat Tampilan Warna Link Blog Berkedip Warna-warni (pelangi)

Mungkin dari sebagian teman-teman sudah ada yang mengetahuinya atau pun untuk mencobanya, namun kali ini saya akan share ilmu untuk teman-teman lain yang sekiranya belum mengerti tentang cara ini. Banyak yang mengatakan bahwa dengan memberi trik ini akan menambah daya tarik untuk pengunjung, yah memang tidak ada yang tahu pasti sih tapi boleh untuk dicoba, hehehe.

1.     Download Script Rainbow terlebih dahulu.

2.     Ekstrak file tersebut (zip) menjadi Java file (Js) dengan menggunakan aplikasi WinRar atau WinZip.

3.     Upload file tersebut ke server yang biasa anda gunakan. Bila belum pernah menggunakan sebelumnya, ikuti intruksi dari teman saya “Kolom Tutorial”.

4.     Jika sudah anda upload, ambil alamat URL tersebut.

Contoh “http://horier.googlepages.com/rainbow.js”

5.     Ubah alamat URL tadi menjadi seperti ini :

6.     Login ke Blogger.

7.     Pilih menu Page Element – Edit HTML – centang Expand Widget Template.

Cara mem-Validasi Sitemap dari Tool Pembuat Sitemap Otomatis (14)

Pada artikel sebelumnya yaitu artikel ke-13 tentang Tool Pembuat Sitemap Otomatis, kita sudah bisa untuk membuat sebuah sitemap XML dari tool tersebut. Namun, bagaimana caranya agar sitemap XML tersebut bisa di-indeks oleh Google?? Sebelum jauh melangkah kesana, pertama kita harus menaruhnya ke dalam kode XML Template kita. Untuk meletakkannya ada 2 cara yaitu :

Selain dengan cara di atas, terdapat pula berbagai tool online untuk mem-validasi skema dan file XML tersebut. Anda bisa mencoba Validome dengan tinggal memasukkan alamat URL dari alamat sitemap anda lalu klik Validate.

Cara Menghilangkan Garis Bawah (Underline) dan Mengubah Warna Link

Bagi beberapa teman mungkin ada yang merasa kurang enak melihat sebuah link tapi masih memiliki garis bawah. Memang pada dasarnya link bergaris bawah dan berwarna biru, namun kita bisa untuk mengubah semuanya. Oleh sebab itu aku buat artikel ini bagi teman-teman yang ingin merubahnya. Langsung saja yah.

Menghilangkan Garis Bawah Link

1. Login ke Blogger.


2. Pilih tab Design – Page Elements.


3. Add widget – HTML/JavaScript.


4. Cari kode berikut ini :

color:#58a;
text-decoration:underline;
}

a:hover {
color:#c60;
text-decoration:underline;
}

a:visited {
color:#969;
text-decoration:underline;
}

5.     Ganti text underline menjadi none.

Mengubah Warna Link
