Kathy Kaberline of KK Originals has taught me many wire techniques and opens my mind to new ideas daily." She has great respect for those who "finish [their work] with love and pride".

You might be surprised to know that Trudy has an avid love of CHL hockey! "I try to never miss a game and have been known to follow them on the road." Trudy is even the Colorado Eagles sports writer for the Examiner!

If she had $1 million to spend on others, she would build homeless shelters for people and no-kill shelters for animals. "Marry them [homeless pets] up with the homeless people and everyone would have someone to love. Okay, I guess I better plan to build them next to each other for convenience." Generous and practical, too! Hopefully some civic planner is reading this!

Mengganti Logo Blog Address Bar di Blogger

Pernahkah anda berpikir untuk mengganti logo Address Bar blog anda layaknya Gravatar di Wordpress? Tentu saja, ada beberapa hal yang membuat kita ingin mengganti atau mengubahnya. Pertama, karena logo adalah symbol dari blog kita yang mencerminkan sesuatu pada blog kita. Lihat saja Facebook, Twitter, Google, Blogger, Wordpress, dll. Kedua, karena kita sudah terlalu bosan dengan logo Blogger tersebut, setiap melihat blog teman blogger lain logonya pun sama. Nah bila anda ingin mencoba menggantinya, ini dia tipsnya :

1. Masuk ke Picasaweb.Google.com atau anda bisa gunakan Blogger. Login menggunakan akun Google anda.

2. Upload logo yang akan dijadikan logo blog, bisa berupa GIF, PNG, JPEG, dll.

3. Setelah upload selesai, copy link tersebut ke dalam notepad.

4. Login ke Blogger anda, Design – Edit Templates. Cari kode berikut ini :

5. Copy kode berikut diantara kode diatas :

Tulisan yang berwarna merah adalah link dari logo atau gambar yang anda upload.

Bila anda mempunyai kemampuan design logo seperti Photoshop dan Corel, maka tidaklah sulit untuk anda membuat logo-logo tertentu seperti logo blog. Memang, dengan membuat sendiri kita bisa menentukan seperti apa nantinya logo kita tersebut namun bagi yang tidak mempunyai kemampuan tersebut bagaimana. Jangan panik, sekarang sudah ada situs web penyedia pembuatan Banner untuk blog maupun untuk kepentingan lain. Cooltext.com namanya, situs ini menyediakan berbagai jenis banner yang anda butuhkan seperti Text, Logo, atau yang lain. Anda tertarik, mari ikuti langkah berikut :

1. Masuk ke cooltext.com.

2. Pilih Logo / Banner yang anda inginkan, kemudian klik.

3. Tentukan text, huruf, ukuran dan warna pada Logo/Banner anda.

4. Render logo.

5. Get HTML code.

6. I agree.

7. Copy code tersebut lalu simpan dinotepad.

Twitter Sering Over Capacity

Pernah ketika membuka twitter tiba-tiba muncul tampilan paus yang dijaring burung? Itu tandanya twitter sedang mengalami over capacity. Kalau sudah begini twitter pasti jadi berat dan susah diakses. Saya sering mengalami kejadian ini over capacity ini, benar-benar tidak nyaman, apalagi kalau membuka twitter via PC. Sudah inet lemot ditambah twitter yang over capacity membuat semakin tidak

This morning I woke up and switched the TV on to Daybreak. I don’t know why I continue to do this, but after today my choice of an early rising wake up call, will be determined by my choice of music. I just could not believe the level of scaremongering and judgment that was coming from my TV set.

Once again the news and therefore Daybreak decided to tell us yet again that after the age of 30 years old the amount of eggs women have decreases, which means by the age of 35 it is estimated that about 20 per cent of women aged 35 to 39 are infertile, hence a greater proportion of pregnant women in this and older age groups, will have or will be undergoing fertility treatment. I am tired of “women wanting careers” being used as the only reason for this, as it is not only an insult but lacks consideration of other factors.

First and foremost as human beings we all have choices and life therefore, will be an individual concept for all of us. Just because a women has the organs that incubate a baby does not necessarily mean she therefore has to have children. What if life was not about procreation but about self-fulfilment and being all that you are first and foremost and the decision to have children was secondary? The judgement on women who want careers still has a Victorian tone which is unacceptable.

The second obvious and overlooked point I would like to make, is that many women are childless at thirty and beyond due to the fact that they have not found a partner. I am in this position and so are many of my friends. I thought children were beings made out of love and not fear, pressure and expectations. Evidently I must be wrong, hmmm perhaps I should just go out and find a man this weekend because guess what… I’m 32 this year which means I now have less than 28 per cent of my eggs left…Er no thanks.

The scaremongering needs to stop and other factors need to be considered. The biggest paradox here is that teenagers in the UK have the highest rate of pregnancies which we judge them for, yet today Daybreak promoted having children early! I’m confused. At such a young age teenagers are individuals who are still finding themselves and in some cases got pregnant by mistake, wanted a child early and well the possibilities and reasons are endless. Older adults are likely to know themselves better, be in a better position to have children and be more aware of their needs and wants, though may not have found love. Regardless of where you sit on the paradox scale, love and a long term partner/relationship may be a factor missing in both circumstances. So what do you do if you are over 30 years old and single?

Compromise by having a baby with anyone? Treat babies like a business transaction? Rely on IVF? I don’t have the ideas or answers; all I know is that one glove does not fit all. Yes we are all human beings made of the same stuff, but we are all different in the same breath and therefore how can one rule be applied to all. Am I really meant to believe that every female at a certain age has exactly X amount of eggs left?

I believe nothing for you will pass you and so rather than concentrating on what I do not have, I look forward to want I want to have. I believe in the universal laws of life and self-fulfilling prophecies, I therefore refuse to let scaremongering drive me to make decisions that are based on fear. I am not saying this is easy, after all we live in an age obsessed and fear based society and I am also aware of the natural process of the human body. However how is worrying meant to help?

SOTW - whimsyfish

Meet Max (aka Maxine Forward) of whimsyfish, this week's Etsy Twitter Team's Shop of the Week!

Max says "I like the season changes. They remind me to mix things up a bit." And so inventory shows! She creates beautiful jewelry and knitted goods. Her jewelry, both beaded and strung, often from repurposed/recycled objects". "I love to use found objects and am constantly lurking around flea markets and antique shops. " As she lives in New England, that provides her ample opportunity for antiquing!

Her interests extend beyond recycling. I asked her what she would do if she won $1 million and had to give it away; her response, "I would give every penny...to the Nature Conservancy"

She's adept with knitting needles, too, offering a variety of scarves made from the highest quality yarns. She also is very talented with teeny knitting needles, making tiny sweaters and mittens for Christmas tree ornaments!

She says, "My most influential teacher was the immensely talented John Grillo who I had as a painting instructor at UMass all those years ago. He was a sharp critic, but always kind and very generous with his time. I love geometric designs and he helped me develop in the direction. I also want to give a big shout out to the wonderful ladies at my local knitting group. They have really helped me to become a better knitter." She also may be influenced by some of her favorite artists: Botticelli and VanGogh. "I love lots of color!," she says.

Another influence might be travel. Max once took a trip to the Soviet Union for three weeks. "Best thing I saw there - the fantastic Saint Basil's Cathedral in Red Square. You know - the one with the onion domes! It was a pure delight."

Cara Upload File PDF, MP3, Film dan Video di Blog

Pada dasarnya, Blogger sangatlah berbeda dengan Wordpress. Bila di Wordpress semua fitur bisa dikatakan lengkap berbeda halnya dengan Blogger, contoh saja tentang upload file PDF. Di wordpress, kita langsung bisa meng-upload file PDF dengan hanya menekan tombol Upload file tetapi di Blogger kita harus mengakalinya dengan cara memakai Ziddu.com atau 4Shared.com. Kedua situs ini khusus untuk anda yang ingin meng-upload file, video, music, film, bahkan aplikasi sekaligus. Setelah anda meng-upload, barulah kita copy link yang ada disana lalu kita berikan di blog kita. Untuk lebih jelasnya ikuti langkah berikut :

Sebagai contoh saya memakai 4shared.com, untuk ziddu.com caranya pun sama.

1. Buka www.4shared.com .

2. Setelah berada di halaman anda harus Register terlebih dahulu.
Klik Sign Up
Lalu anda harus mengisi formulir

3. Setelah register nanti anda akan dibawa ke halaman awal.

4. Setelah berada di halaman awal, Klik Browse (yang berada di bawah halaman awal) Lalu klik Upload (anda bisa memilih banyak file agar dapat di download).

5. Tunggu beberapa saat untuk proses Upload.

6. Setelah proses Upload selesai akan ada Kode (bisa anda gunakan URLnya)yang muncul di layar, lalu copy kode tersebut ke dalam postingan anda untuk dijadikan link download.
Contoh: Klik disini untuk mendownload lagu ST12 Saat Terakhir

7. Setelah selesai barulah kita post artikel.

Untuk MP3 :

1. Ikuti langkah 1-5.

2. Setelah Upload MP3 selesai, klik Done lalu klik MP3 yang anda Upload.

3. Klik Play, setelah itu anda akan diberikan kode Embeded-nya dan copy kedalam postingan anda.

NB:

- Untuk proses Upload tergantung dari berapa besar ukuran file dan kecepatan upload koneksi anda.

- Untuk mencoba apakah program/file yang anda simpan itu tadi berhasil atau tidak, maka sebelum di download oleh pengunjung situs maka anda coba terlebih dahulu.

Cara Membuat Menu Tab View di Blog

Menu Tab View sangat berguna sekali untuk menghemat space pada Sidebar blog kita. Karena ukurannya yang relative kecil (bisa disesuaikan) dan bisa kita masukkan Link, Gambar atau kode HTML yang panjangnya bisa minta ampun ke dalam menu ini. Bila anda tertarik melakukannya, untuk catatan sekarang atau nanti bila anda ingin melakukan edit template biasakan untuk meng-copy kode template blog anda terlebih dahulu. Ini sangat berguna bila nanti ada kesalahan pada proses pengeditan. Ini dia langkah-langkahnya :

1. Login ke Blogger.
2. Pilih Rancangan.
3. Klik edit HTML.
4. Centang Expand Template Widget.
5. Cari kode </head> (untuk pencarian cepat tekan Ctrl + F)

· Huruf yang berwarna merah ganti dengan judul postingan anda

· Dan huruf yang berwarna biru adalah isi dari menu, contohnya dengan memasukan link postingan anda.

Cara Membuat Artikel Terkait di Bawah Posting Blog

Umumnya, pemakaian artikel terkait atau Related Post biasa ditempatkan di sidebar. Ada pula yang ditempatkan di bawah posting blog secara manual yaitu dengan menyatukannya pada posting kita, namun cara ini dinilai kurang efektif karena tidak otomatis. Bila kita salah meng-copy link bisa nyasar juga pengunjungnya. Sebelum melakukannya, backup terlebih dahulu template anda bila nanti terjadi kesalahan kita bisa menggantinya.

1. Login ke Blogger anda.

2. Klik Tata Letak.

3. Klik tab Edit HTML.

4. Klik Expand Template.

5. Kemudian Cari kode yang seperti ini :
