Self-Sabotage


Self-sabotage comes in many forms though the tone is usually an excuse.  In my last posting Honour Yourself I revealed mine, what does yours look like? What do you do to fail yourself?
Over critical of yourself, setting unreachable goals, never completing projects, always late, masking your problems though drink and drugs, whatever it is these are just some of the examples that are obstacles created by ourselves. The origins  may lie in doubt, lack of belief,  conditioning or assumptions of what we think people think about us but nevertheless they are obstacles.
Fear is “False Evidence Appearing to be Real”, it is our minds playing tricks with us. If we trusted our hearts, inner-self more I’m sure we would all be so much more functional and successful.  Someone once said to me, “Life is simple, it is we who make it harder than it need be”. If you changed your unhelpful thought patterns what would be instantly easier? Have a think and then consciously do the opposite of what you would normally do and reflect on the outcome.
